Building superpowers for advertisers at Perpetua
Perpetua is self-serve advertising optimization software for e-commerce. Using Perpetua, brands launch, manage, and optimize advertising campaigns for products sold on e-commerce marketplaces including Amazon, Walmart, and Instacart. Perpetua offers both a web-based platform and a mobile app.
From customer success to design
My journey at Perpetua began in 2020 on the Customer Success team. Having been one of the first 25 employees at the company, I took on a critical role managing relationships with early customers and stakeholders. This included our partnership with Instacart's ad API team - a relationship I grew to own within my first 3 months on the job. Through this role, I gained a high degree of empathy for users and became deeply obsessed with their painpoints and needs.
Finding the balance between automation and control
Presently, I own end-to-end design for features across ad marketplaces, with a focus on our core marketplaces including Amazon Sponsored ads, and the Amazon DSP.
Perpetua's "goal" approach to advertising optimization is designed to help customers focus on objectives rather than tedious and time-consuming ad tactics. As we continue to grow and onboard more sophisticated brands, we are faced the ongoing challenge of balancing automation, machine learning, and human control. This problem space brings on many new design problems which I have been privileged to help lead at Perpetua.
